The ancient Tantric tradition reveals a particular magic assigned to the number eight. The eight mother faculties (tatvas) of the manifested universe, the eight directions with four cardinal and four intermediate points (digbandahs), the eight miraculous yogic powers (siddhis), eight limbs of Yoga (ashtanga), eight forms of the Divine Mother (matrikas), and eight primary mystic symbols (mudras) are some examples. There are also 64 arts of the Kama Sutra. The yoginis are wise in the art of love and will reveal the secrets of intamacy Magik to the initiated and pure of intention . (A subsequent article will go into this more and the Sanskrit of her 64 meanings ) .

In very ancient days, eight great Female Goddesses or Shaktis emerged from the cosmic soul of omnipotent forces and formed Kali Durga, the Universal Shakti Power. These were the grandmothers (Ashta Matrikas) of the other Yoginis. Eight mothers gave birth to eight Shaktis. Kali Yogini Tantra tells us these eight manifested, each turning into eight Divine Shaktis. 8 times 8 birthing 64 Tantric Yoginis. These 64 powerful Goddesses have unique personas and powers of their own, just as Kali has 10 Mahavidyas, which are aspects of the one MA with different qualities that the individual Tantric can relate to and evoke.
64 Yogini temples are feared by many, and most will not enter after dark, especially during the dark moon. But the spiritual warrior, in love with Devi, will not fear or fret her temple’s bosom. There are many rituals around them that speak of offering such things as human heads or bodies detached from the heads, secret “engaging” practices, interesting concoctions, and unique offerings. The true seeker sees the symbolism in this and does not fear. It is said, “Do not enter the temple if you have mistreated an animal, a woman, or a child.” They are fierce protectors of children, animals, and women.

The power of her nature reveals itself as the Goddesses of the sacred circle of sixty-four.
The ancient Cosmic Mother speaks through her Kali Yogini Tantra. Always in union with her Lord Shiva, manifesting in both celestial and terrestrial planes, intoxicated with unconditional love, she manifests before sincere Tantrics.
MA’s forms are in all moon phases in a full circle of embodiment, in our moving blood as patterns of life force and in the cycle of 21,600 breaths taken in a day, with one embodiment for every breath. The sixty-four Yogini forms are the Kalachakra, or Wheel of Time. Kali = Time.

The foundation of Kali and the primordial mothers, represented in a group of seven or eight, may have first been worshipped as a personified aspect of the Pleiades star-cluster, known in ancient times as the Seven Sisters. One may see the connection here as to what the truth of reality is. If not now, then definitely after deep embodiment and sadhana to the Yoginis.
Each of MA’s sixty-four eternities Are attendants to her galactic goddess essence .Her sixty-four forms have the power to manifest from the body of all other Yoginis, making them a group and each with the power of regeneration.
Ma is both each of them and all of them, even though each of them is a self-contained eternity.
For the absolving of negative energies, clarity of consciousness, a peaceful heart, massive protection, dynamic aura, brilliant health, the magnificent joy of abundance of every type and protection of animals, women, and children, one should chant the sacred names of the Sixty-Four Yoginis. We must not take lightly their potential and potency. They are not minor deities. They are none other than powers of the one cosmic Mother governing over every aspect of this and all planes of our universe. They can pull a soul from the lowest depths of illusion into the most elevated heights of grace-light.
The daily repetition of these mantras will purify all darkness, jealousy, and resentment within.

Ma will not forsake you or forget you in this life. Through ALL of it, she will fill you with the divine that you already are and are about to uncover.
One simple way to perform Yogini puja (ceremony) is to activate a copper 64 Yogini yantra or one with sixty-four petals and chant the mantra with a passionate, sincere heart.
Divine Love is required. When devotion is not present, sincerity may be the doorway to her cosmic love. Meditation on any of her forms brings about permanent expanded consciousness and spiritual freedom.
This path is deep and requires great sincerity, courage, and the true desire to expand and liberate spiritually. Tantric sadhana really opens doorways in inexplicable ways, and the devotee or sādhaka learns to use subtle sensory perception to absorb and communicate with the divine in the abstract and commune with that which operates in the unseen realms. Massive pure love held within the heart of the divine mother is shared with those who are pure in their longing to feel her inside of every cell of their being. These Yoginis play, but they DO NOT play with false intent.
For more in-depth ceremony, it is recommended to be guided by an adept Yogini. Find a tantric ceremonialist who glows with the luminosity of devi’s loving grace.
